I feel that your views are just flawed & extreme. You offer no real solution other than going backwards. Which would work, technically all items would be obtainable if the unattainable were removed, but it's not an ideal solution, nor one that the manager should pursue. It also requires no/less addition of content than my ideas, but the end gaming experience is vastly reduced.
