There were enough auctions to effectively decrease the money supply, therefore increasing the the value of the dollar for EVERYONE. The items that were sold were just taken from banned players, so nothing new was introduced.
Prices are noticeably lower for every weapon that isn't sold in a shop somewhere. Sure, the auctions might not have solved
all of our problems, but I'd say they turned out to be a pretty decent solution for the problem they were intending to solve (high prices). Read the original post?
