and just an idea but remove one of brigids broken spells and give her sunspear..i know that's another gods spell but let's face it .. that would be perfect for a medium level granted spell for brigid.. she's the mother nature goddess, and she grants gloves of the SUN so why not let her grant sunspear?
Firstly, Double posting is frowned upon.

Hotkeyed spells has a significantly reduced cast time. A mage who takes an interest in speed can manage to cast thorns or spiderwebs safely. I do think spiderwebs should be instant cast though since it causes no damage and is an escape spell. AC doesn't matter anymore, for warriors, but for mages it's a bonus to not be hit by low levels who can still churn out dmg on your small hp pools. Anything that aids survivability should be focussed on as a mage since damage is clearly out of the question - not in your control.

Sunspear should remain a Dian/Rod/Staff only spell, lets not add more **** to Dian's grave.
