It could be possible to do GS2 with a text editor which is connected to a SVN repository that has serverside post-commit hooks, which could then manually call a command-line RC upload utility.
But, there is obviously no command-line RC upload utility, so that plan falls through.
I've PM'd Stefan about this before, but gotten no response (as usual.)
The major downside of this when compared to built-in version control would be that the repository is on >random scripter dude<'s server rather than somewhere more robust. |
