If you're using the same computer, use a PCID. You can get that by saying /openaccess <your account> while you are online. At the top, it will say "Computer number:". Open your rights, and add pc:####### (insert your computer number, such as pc:415923). You can have multiple IP ranges as well (such as 127.0.0.1,pc:241423,pc:59230124).

And yes, *.*.*.* is replaced with the first two IP blocks when you log on; I believe it also adds your PCID on first login with that IP range.
