But this doesn't have any affect at all really, since the max phys resist is 99, something people already reach w/o getting max arm items. As far as display goes, it'll only be a new way of differentiating the very best players.

Ehm, are you sure, that you understood to what you reply here?
The skill system does allow to gain the max overall level, with maxing out a easy to max skill like mental or agility. One of them both doesn't max the overall level, but the rest can either be gained with the other easy to max skill or with just a little in the other skills. The maximum overall level, should actually display and combine ALL skills to reach the maximum overall level with ALL skills at the maximum. Else the maximum level doesn't make even slightly sense.
This will result for everyone who doesn't have ALL of the 6 skills maxed with 130.900.000 (which is no one as I suppose yet) to have his overall adjusted to his real overall level, of the combination of the experience out of all six skills.
The overall level doesn't have any effect on SP nor on grace. But it has an effect on how far you can enchant a armor piece, not speaking only about the physical resistance, but also about the + of refinement for armor class.
The display would show the true overall level of each and everyone, someone with a mental level of 107 and agility level of 107, but bad fighting skills and personality wont have anywhere near close the maximum overall level anymore, since thats a unlogical thing anyways.
But as mentioned before I think its a result of increased reachable skill levels, but not adjusting the overall level, to the maximum reachable skill levels, and therefore the maximum reachable experience.
