FAQ Admin also has access to most logs in case he needs them.

why would he need them as an FAQ admin?

Like I said, historically all Chiefs have had RC. However, I didn't make it like this to be like "every other server".

historically on Era, not all "chiefs" had an RC. I can't say I ever remember seeing an FAQ admin on Era with RC before now. and if there was, there was probably just as much as a commotion about it back then compared to now.

More than often the a Department Admin is someone who has worked their way up and can be trusted. It's just nice to have someone with rights equivalent to a GP around just in case.
|
this is exactly how I see it:
- get FAQ; check
- get FAQ admin; check
- get GP; check
- resign from GP because I can't handle it; check
- beg to keep RC so I can be an FAQ admin with an RC + GP powers without actually having the responsibilities as a GP, thus getting a free ride!; check!

As for the new GP's not having RC, well that is an old Era rule that I guess EC made up. Personally I think all GP's should have RC but I am leaving that decision up to Zeus or Squirt.

EC never made that rule. big 'ol HoudiniMan started that BS.
I've seen this happen countless times. developers getting a job on RC then a few weeks later they resign from their development job because they are too lazy to work, but then ask to be a GP so they can sit around and play with tools all day. this case is a little different but you should get the point.
