RP (Role Play) = In roleplaying, participants adopt and act out the role of characters, or parts, that may have personalities, motivations, and backgrounds different from their own. Note that RP is encountered as much, if not more, in real life as in games.
RPG (Role Playing Game) = A genre in which players undertake an epic quest, building their character(s) skills and items on a mission to ultimately stop a great evil.
Singleplayer RPGs include the Final Fantasy series, Neverwinter Nights and Nintendo's Zelda, and often last over 30 hours.
