I did intend it to be very gruesome and have some pretty nasty monster designs. Also, just because it's 2D and pixelart doesn't mean it can't be realistic and horrifying. And I can't really prove you wrong because it's subjective to what you consider 'realistic'. Not to mention it doesn't need to be realistic to be bloody and gory.
