This may sound outlandish but if you actually sit down and think, it will begin to make more sense. Era is, has and always be corrupt if something drastic is not done, I believe everyone can agree on that. The reason for the corruption is because "oldbies" become staff members, they then give the best items (guns, money, businesses etc) to their fellow "oldbie" friends. These staff (usually in a few months but occasionally longer) get fired/quit/idle until their RC is removed, then another "oldbie" replaces them and the cycle begins again.

There is a chance to break the reoccurring chain, Deophite is not native to Era, and as far as I know has very little ties to the server and its "oldbie" population (I could be wrong here and if I am correct me). so if anyone has a chance of doing it I believe he could. The only way I see of rooting out all corruption would simply be to fire all the staff members with RC rights, then rehire the most qualified members of the community to fill their position. This not only would rid Era of inactive and under qualified staff, but replace them with the most qualified members of the community who actually care about the server and not just the "perks" that come with a staff tag and RC.

I see a lot of flames coming my way mostly from the inactive/under qualified staff and their friends who fear they might lose their privileged positions if this happens. But if you think about it no one has anything to lose and the server and community can only gain from this idea, and here is the reason. If the current staff member is really as good as they believe they are they will retain their job by being the best out of all the applicants. If not they will be replaced by a more qualified individual which will produce better work for the players to enjoy.

I know not every staff member would be removed (like Angel etc) but to my knowledge Angel never did anything corrupt either (once again correct me if I'm wrong). Also staff members who don't have an RC should be exempt as they really cannot do anything corrupt anyway and replacing them would take valuable time that could better be spent reforming the server and restoring it to its former self.
