I find that the best way to learn GS2 is to script something that you want. For instance, my first GS2 script was an MP3 playlist. I had to learn about GUIs, file storage (creating/editing/deleting files), actions, and some mathematics (for the progression bar).
So, figure out something that want to script. Don't make it incredibly hard (read: no systems). Then, find somebody who knows quite a bit, and have them help you. The Testbed Server might be a good place for you go about learning GS2. |
