I can agree that the mine detector should be spread through the classes but to make them visible is just retarded. Honestly if a person doesn't like them they can stop playing or gain some skill to killing them before hand.
Another way I seen where people blew them up was flamethrower (if I am not mistaken).
Grenade them or w/e but don't make this game any lamer by making prox's visible. Use a damn mine detector or as jesse said team up with someone who has one so you can keep ur butt safe.

Lol I'm not one of the newer players i'm actually one of the older players, but can i ask when was the last time you were on? cause its been awhile since I've seen you play and you should see all the trials with proxies, like basically almost everyday there will be at least 100 proxies laid down all over the map of Iricia and no matter how hard you may try to avoid them they always blow you up in the end, i can ensure you if you did a survey on zone and ask if they have been blown up by prox in the past day half would say yes.
But if you are not willing to accept the fact proxies make the game less enjoyable and you are not willing to make them visible then at least spread the mine detector to all classes or at least to more then just the ones with guns which aren't as liked to be used.
I still wish that you should see how annoying prox, as well as bike mines now are, they have really taken away alot of the games fun. I remember back to the days when people use to race for b1, that they wouldn't have been going around the whole map of Iricia just deciding to prox then sit around hiding in a bunker/dropship and waiting for the kills to pour in. Also back then how many times were you killed by left over prox (prox left by people who had logged out) then died to them? (well for me back then it maybe happened once or twice a month) nowadays it happens for me like 4 - 6 times a week so it really would help if you could do something about giving out mine detectors to all classes or make proxs visible once again.
