I want to draw a line, not use a pencil :P

Holding shift means I'm limited to horizontal/vertical. What if I want to make my lines 2:1(isometric)? What if I want 45-degree lines? What if I just want to draw a slightly angled line!?!?

I don't understand what you're trying to do here. It's all preference, I'm not trying to convert anyone, and I don't understand why you'd try to convert anyone either. Photoshop just wasn't made with pixel-art in mind, so of course its going to have flaws in that area.
