I don't like the seperated islands. Era has always had a central city theme and seperating everything into islands goes against this. One thing I always liked about Era's map was that they kept it on one continent.

I liked it how Morano Family was on the southern bit of the map in 2006 but that was part of the exclusive aspect of the gang.
