I think the walls suck not because you only see the northern walls or unrealistic design, but because their borders look the same on every side instead of somehow indicating that the wall is orthogonal to the floor, like shading or different phases of wall like the classic house tiles, so they end up looking like tables or something flat instead.

Also the Interitus level dudes really need to make things more rectangular instead of adding random corners every few tiles.
