Because website designs are not original anymore. We've passed that stage already, Web 2.0 buddy. Every kind of website "idea" has been done already. Navigation at the top, left, right, bottom, small banner, big banner, nav buttons, nav text, nav text included into the background, what else do you want to do? Put the content into the navigation maybe?
