Sure, why not.
But, he should be monitored and be placed under a probationary management position for a few months. This would mean that he and whatever team he has needs to keep active, and self motivated as well as be productive during that time.
He'd kinda be a trial manager for a few months, and then pending a final review he would be made the permanent manager. Thats how most companies do things now adays. |
