Another advantage to clientside filtering would be that if people saw what they were actually saying without the filter, there would be no need to avoid the filter, just so that every single player received what you were trying to say and on the off-chance had the filter turned off.
Obviously a filter should be enabled by default. I understand and agree the above reasoning more so than forcing a filter on everyone that is just going to be annoying for some players by filtering out curse words (and every other word like on Kingdoms) and avoided any way they can find. |
