Actually Raven let me enlighten you. Zone wars was actually the 2nd most used planet and at nights was the most used planet while it was in game. It would not be unused for that purpose. Taking out one of the planets could help deal with the current "waste of space" and could allow for the populace to spread to other planets to allow for more close combat.
This planet was also very easy to use for new players because you did not need to select a class and appealed to a common theme.
