Mh, well, it sounds like you want to learn how to create ganis. Its not "scripting", more like animating a bunch of images and sprites. I guess you should take a look
here. Thats Mike's gani tutorial, I think its pretty good.
If you want to use them on Graal, just do what Switch said. Well, use "setcharani" instead of "setchatani", thats messed up in his post, eh. Though it differs if you want to try your ganis offline or online, since GS2 wont work offline. If you want to try the ganis offline, use this:

replaceani ORIGGANI,NEWGANI;
Gotta replace all the stuff in capital letters with yours though. Dont worry about the "PARAMS" part, you dont need params for your ganis most of the time. Just leave it blank, so if you would want the player to sit down, use this:
