That's not much space, and I'm guessing the PSP doesn't have much more room either. I don't exactly know how that would be overcome.
256x192x2 screens, right?
256x192, you can overcome that with Zoom: Zoom out to 2:1 using the usually restricted Baloons feature and suddenly the world looks like 512x384...which is about normal, 32 tiles wide by 24 tall, about 1/4 of a level on the screen at once. Easy enough to make a lowres state.png for half-size "A, S, D, #gralats, #bombs, #arrows, #hearts". Then you add a zoom-in for when you only want 16x12 tiles at full resolution: only looking at 1/16th of the world, but that's enough to chat.

Plus you can put the menu, inventory, Q-menu, keyboard, whatever on the Other Screen, so that's a help. A bunch of PWs would have to add some code for low-res 2-screen'ers, but it's a one-shot fix; you update your custom inventory once and you're done.

You have a laptop?
I'm a courier, I'm constantly in and out of wireless range. In the state of Washington they've wireless'd every rest area along I-90 (not free, but nonetheless). Barnes and Noble's cafes are LAN'd up for free. Airports are LANd (though again, usually only to subscribers). Internet Cafe's, Starbucks, Gamestops....Wireless is all over if you're on the road, though I agree that if you don't tend to leave the neighborhood there's little point.

Let's work it out:
- Free homebrew release. (0$)

- DS - 150$

200-250$? no ty.
Or:
- Free download (0$)
- Paid registration (19$)
- Desktop Computer (400$)

If you include the platform in the cost, then nobody's going to buy anything. Guitar Hero costs $280? WoW costs $450?
Though I agree, if you're gonna have to buy a GBA Card just for Graal there's a problem. Ideally, not to tell Graal marketing how to do their jobs, they'd find a bulk supplier of GBA Cards (100 for $4000, only $40 a card...it's a start!) and sell these preloaded cards by mail: each comes with a free year's GBA-Graal subscription for only $60! ($20 profit for Graal up front, vs $39 a year, the player's only really paying $21 extra for the portability).
But then, if there aren't 100 people who want GBAGraal, Cyberjouers is out $4000. So it's risky.
