They are necessary but still peripheral. Rationality is the "core" of the process.

Once again you are reducing Kaimetsu's ability to some kind of smoke-and-mirrors trickery. In doing so you're saying that pretty much all I picked up from him was some kind of linguistic bag of tricks (seeing as I already had the googling down). Are you seriously suggesting this?
