I see what you mean, when I win an event I always thank the EM no matter what prize it is. I can see why you would get angry when people complain about that, that would annoy me too infact. But I guess generally people expect to be getting ECs from events, so perhaps if the prize wasn't a EC then the players could be told what it would be before the event so they can decide if they want to play or not. Basically I would say most of the players only do events for the prizes
