To be honest, I do not feel like reading everyones posts to the oringal thread. However I have atleast skimmed over it all. The fact about GK is there just isn't enough content to keep an RP story going everyday. You have to do something else and make things up as you go. Putting in some RP system would only do more damage then good at this point. Perhaps in the future it might be nice, if we can get enough players again for a decent RP event or two each week.

Then theres the fact that kingdoms are supposed to actually teach and enforce RP rules. A little RP fact is bomboria trade is entirely non RP, and so such system would have to be disabled for that place. And theres other ways to declare out of character rather then them uggly brackets, such as -ooc. Personally I like the -ooc, its easier to remember to addon to a line or sentence then to find the brackets while holding down shift key. But thats a preferance thing.
