So how about the name for the new acolyte rank?

Something that sounds like a wanderer. A wandering monk or something. Let's say... IF we had roadside shrines, on which offerings could be made, then what would be the name for a person who goes around collecting the donations?

Shrine Keeper sounds like too high of a rank for entry level, although it wouldn't be high enough for priest... (or maybe it would be just perfect to replace Priest.)

On the flip side, those examples are awfully oriental sounding (and would thus be better left for Samurai to develop) but oriental cultures were not the only cultures to develop roadside shrines.

Would anyone have any suggestions on how to use a road-like shrine idea with a more celtic/germanic and/or aquatic feel to it?
