The small team of assassins passed around most of the rank and file soldiers quite easily and without any notice. They were the most advanced trained soldiers in the elven armies of Forest, and thus were well prepared for this mission. They were to seek out and kill the legendary Bosh Tiberius, and stop whatever evil he was attempting to complete in the ruins of an ancient city. The mission was possibly suicidal, if they were caught they had too few men to fight a team of these soldiers from Dustari. And if they were seen by Bosh, the chances of survival were less than fighting the army of Dustari itself as a whole. But they swore an oath to keep the forest safe, and to keep their ancestrial land away from the clutches of evil.
The team had to make a diversion, using a small landslide as a distraction they were able to infiltrate the entrance of the caves. To their amazement it was quite easy to maneuver around, and alot of the writing was in ancient elvish. They made their way down to the great chamber where Bosh would be, but were stopped by a strange writing on the door. The commander of the small force was shocked at reading the writing on the door, and ordered everyone to fall back a bit and take up fortified positions. He prayed this writing was true, or his small force would be obliterated before their eyes could comprehend their doom.
----Dustari castle, throne room----------
King Johnathan Tiberius, Lord of Dustari, holder of her lands, commander of all armed forces, head of state. Such a title was quite powerful, and the demon known as Agramon was in dominance of the king now. It was dark and late at night, and the demon was in control of the king for the night time. This was the normal life of the demon that served the shadows. Of course, he dreamed of the day when he would have the chance to destroy Bosh, his master, but he knew he lacked the power to do so. So he served with loyalty, slowly getting stronger and waiting for the time to strike.
"Agramon" The demon heard echo through his very fiber of existance. Demons were summoned by calling their names, and only Bosh knew his name. He hated the fact that he must release control over the king, and feared the wise priest would find a way to ward him from gaining dominance again. But the calling from Bosh could not be ignored. He released control and went soaring through the material plane as an ethereal being until he was in the great chamber. He saw the sword of his long imprisonment, the Darkflame. He dispised the great weapon, but respected it as well. It was a weapon of great power and used in the hands of an all evil soul it would be devistating. He was glad that it was not in the hands of anyone good at this time.
-------The Ritual---------
Bosh saw the demon enter the room, he knew the demon Agramon well. And he knew the demon would not be so quickly inclined to return into the Darklfame, but after a short conversation he assured the demon that either he would go in quickly and quietly, or go in and be imprisoned for another millenia. He grinned as he watched the demon, Agramon, become encased again in the energy of the Darkflame. Both of their lifeforces became merged again, and the blade glew darker than ever, an infinitly darker object.
Bosh held the sword in front of him, and moved toward a giant statue of an ancient elf. This elf was once the God of Shadow, and this was the moment Bosh had waited for since... since he could remember. The darkness whiped his previous memories, and he had become cruel and terrifying. And now that was about to become solidified.
Bosh moved slowly to the statue, and saw the forehead of the object. He glared a wicked look at the object "What is yours will now be mine!" he scremed, thrusting the sword into the forhead of the statue..
It was stuck, stuck in the statue, and it wouldnt move. For a second Bosh was calm, and understood what was happening.
It was a trap.
------Clear, all ye who sin------
The commander barely managed to push his team into the small hole that was designed to protect them from the raw magical energies that were about to jet through the hallways. He heard Bosh scream, and jumped in with everyone else and prayed that they would be spared, and that Bosh would lose this fight, possibly the only battle would ever lose.
The soldiers above felt the earth below them churn, and they had better senses than to stay and follow orders from someone who was likely already dead underground. The generals ordered a full retreat from the mountain sides, all columns came running off the land and poured onto the beaches, most soldiers were stripping off heavy plate armor to get a better run distance from the great quake in the mountains. Everyone turned in time to see a massive blast of energy erupt from the cave hole, and the mountain shook greatly. Everyone thought it would come down, but it held. The builders of the labryth inside designed the area to hold up against this event.
------The Battle of Saints------
Bosh looked at the Darkflame stuck into the statue and then became enraged.
"No... That isnt right.. This isnt right." He screamed at the statue.
Bosh's hand was ripped away from the darkflame as it went soaring out of the statue and he pivoted on his left foot to see the sword slam into the wall behind him. Its power allowed it to crash through dozens of feet of pure rock until it eventually stopped somewhere in the deep hole. Bosh came back to face the statue, and saw light energy pour out from the damage he had done to the statue. The light formed into a solid figure. An elf, the elf of the statue!
-------------------------
The God of Shadow was a saint in his past life, before he had become consumed. And for that he was angelic in death, but because of his dark end he was encased into stone and was destined to wait until another would dare become consumed by this evil he had known. Elinen gazed down at Bosh Tiberius, Bosh Archigos, The Duke of Destruction. He would have sighed if he could, but he simply floated over and landed beside his statue, and prepared himself for the fight he would soon be forced to make.
-----------------------------
Bosh's memories rushed to him from his past life, when he had helped many who were less fortunate than he without care of reward. But he shook it off and figured it was a mental attack by the angel standing before him. He scowled at the glowing figure, and knew they would both die today.
Bosh roared and then let fly pure dark energy, he began to unleash his dark soul into magical attacks focused on the angel. The angel had put up many wards and the dark bolts, fireballs, and lightning shattered along the wards as they collided, sending massive amounts of magic spewing out into the room, filling the room with its energy. Bosh erected a shadow barrier around himself to shield himself from any attacks the angel would send his way, and continued to fling dark magic at his enemy. His chanting of the spells grew louder and louder as he walked closer to the angel and his spells began to break through its barrier and wards.
---------------------------------
The angel waited and allowed Bosh to assault him with spells. He had to wait until they were at the right place to use his ability. He did not fear the darkness Bosh used. He was lord over that energy once, and he still had control over it in a small amount. He could not be killed by it, but he could be killed by the normal magic that would sometimes fire off as a lightning bolt, destroying one of his anti shadow wards.
--------------------------------
"Kalama-Kana!" A massive bolt of lightning fired from Bosh's fingertips and blasted through many of the barriers of the angel, allowing him to move further. But this was draining him greatly. And he began to waver into pulling magic from the normal weave. He then spun around quickly, doing a 360 degree rotation, willing the Darkflame to return to him. The blade obeyed willingly, falling into his hand. Bosh charged in then with fury, blasting with lightning from his left hand, then lowering it in time to make an upwards slice across the chest of the angel.
--------------------------------
The angel saw the blade, and unleashed his ability. He grabbed the blade with his hands, stopping it still with Bosh still holding on to it tightly. Bosh attempted to kick out and headbutt but the angel simply dodged easily.
White energy began to pour onto the Darkflame, and its flames turned from black to white. The demon screamed its last breath of life before being consumed into the holy fire. The fire then made its way up Bosh's hands, arms, chest, neck, face. Bosh screamed loudly, unleashing a massive barrage of magical energy at the angel.
Then, nothingness.. |
