Denotative definitions are weak in arguments, it's conatitive definitions and how you go about expressing such that make one strong.
It takes no analysis to state a denotative definition of a word.
What I stated was very much criticism, and also a means to improve by suggesting that you start over. I never once said that you should just give up, I was being encouraging by saying that you should start over.
