I had a similar problem when I was woring for Frolic, I could download, but not upload using any of my ftp programs. But I was able to do it using Internet Explorer.
You type
ftp://userame:password@serveraddress/ as the url, then to upload. Find the files in a folder, and copy them, then paste them in the ftp window to upload them. Try that, it's the only way I was able to upload.
