These valaint birds fly and fllow you around.
They also can fly over water and do not block ships.
Also when they stop following you they'll fly all over travelling far and wide and you can watch them on your map.
So if you want your hawk to stay use a peg and it won't fly far.

There is a special song for a hawk which will make them fly to your area if they are out of earshot so you can get your hawk if it flies off and also they can send letters to your friends.

have a message in your inventory and say /hawksend *lettername* *acct* and it will fly off with the letter to that person.
That player will then get a trade window from the hawk and it will be selling a letter for nothing.
The player accepts it then the hawk flies back to the owner.
If the player who is recieving the message cannot be reached i.e inside a house then the hawk will wait outside until the owner calls the hawk to his side.

If the letter is given to the player the owner is informed by a message via f2.

This would be a great way for postmasters to do their jobs but also great RP.
Also the hawks may deliver small items such as a diamond to a person.

Hawks will help in combat.
If you are fighting a monster and the hawk is in follow mode the hawk will start to help you.
It will fly around the monster distracting it, drawing the monsters attacks to the hawk and will occasionally peck it dealing small damage.

Hawk pet is the only killable monster but it immune to player attacks.
To prevent players abusing this everyone is restricted to one hawk per account.
Hawks are also abtained differently from most pets.
To obtain a hawk pet you must trade in an evil bomy lord heart to a little hawk bird which is sitting on the top of igloo mountain.
Then you will receive a hawk pet egg.
even if you have two eggs only one will hatch and be yours.
Any other eggs will not hatch until your other hawk dies.

Hawks will like you straight away but have low hp so your close support is vital.
Hawks don't require as much food as most pets.
Store your hawk inside your home and leave some food there and it can survive a long time.
