It also matches classic Graal's style a bit better. I find the hardest part about making graphics for graal is that you have to limit yourself, otherwise the graphics appear alien to the game. It's always good to surpass graal when making graphics, but at a certain point it tends to just completely overshadow the game.
Often times I'll be halfway done with a project and realise that it's way too good to fit the game, so I purposely screw something up in order to make it look more Graal-ish.
