This system would work well if Stamina were taken out, because poison and other effects would make things even worse for player speed, attack movements, etc. Instead, it would be nice to simply create motions based upon what buttons are currently free. For example:

Blocking: Shield Button (Only works if the enemy is slicing directly where your shield is. If the enemy hits you while you block, their weapon will 'vibrate', and they get a momentary 0.5 second delay and 1/2 tile knockback.)

Parry: Shield + Sword Button (After an enemy has hit your shield with a weapon and is stalled, you can quickly switch from holding the shield button to quickly tapping the sword button, which will make you automatically do the 'lunge' motion of your weapon's attack gani before the enemy has time to regain control of their character.)

Dodge: Pause + Directional Button (Holding pause and tapping a directional button will make your character jump a short distance of anywhere from 3 to 6 tiles of the direction you enter. Very similar to strafing on other servers, but is done instantaneously, and has a small delay time of .25 or .10 seconds between to prevent constant usage.)

Deflect Arrows: Pause + Shield (Hold down pause and then the shield button to crouch under your shield in order to deflect incoming arrows. Can only be used for around 3-5 seconds, and has a cooling time of about 1-2. More like an emergency manuever.)

Out of this, I can only see two ganis that would need to be made (For jumping and deflection) and some minor scripting done by Stefan, since he's the one who accesses those sorts of scripts as far as I know. However, whether these things would actually come into play is trivial, though Alarid and I already had some ideas pertaining to this sort of system.
