They (sam, bjorn) do this all of the time. Maybe it's because I'm always playing that I notice but there is an event here and there where monsters just invade Bomboria.

Most of the stuff you mentioned like fortifications and magic walls were meant for Kingdom wars. There are no Kingdom wars because of the alliance right now you just have to be patient and wait for one to come around.

I remember one war way back in the day where everyone on each side worked together to fight like it was a real war. It was awesome to see people running into traps and battleships blasting away at other battleships in the ocean and just when things were getting rough for Forest I flew in about ten players with Zepplins dropping bombs and attacking from the sky over Samurai. We invaded that castle and killed the leader. Kingdom wars are really what the game is all about.

If we had more invasions it would be fun, but the GM's would come on even less in between attacks. I would say more along the lines of making a city like Bogenara or Igloo Town being constantly invaded and it being like a "monster war front." Where the battles are always going on.
