ONO CLASSIC ISN'T CLASSIC ANYMORE!

That's why I gave up and changed the name to Graal: The Adventure. If I had my druthers I'd continue my offer to let anyone who thought they could do better try it - you either
A) freeze it in carbonite as The Perfect Version, that time between 1.38 and 1.39a or Way back before 1.26 or whatever (in which case people complain in fact you have the WRONG version and you suck for not uploading their house) OR
B) you start with a version you like and add to it (in which case EVERYONE complains Classic was never like that, and by the way won't you please upload their house)

I been there the other day. It ain't great, and I think it was foolhardy to bring back the old tileset and delete all these things my team spent so many hours working on in the first place just so a new team can spend hours working on it again, but I seen the plan - it looks solid. It isn't The Adventure yet, nor is it Classic, but it will be The Adventure again. And when it is, I'll be on the petition to make it the official free-newbie server, even if nobody else likes that theory. One server where newbies can save a minimum of information (I looked over the old script - if it saved King Tristam's two-digit int variable, the rest could be extrapolated from that) and paying clients can save every last detail...but I digress.

Yeah, Classic needs work. Mark, you probably DID try and send 'em the scripts, but as a former LAT admin, we've NEVER been humble enough to let other people do our jobs. It took me 3 years before I'd accept Kyle0654's Bank Card script, (and when it broke and he vanished I was SOL...)
so yeah. And now they're getting the quests back up. Recoding baddies from the ground up with a custom movement and a custom hit detection system - no small task - but I've looked it over and default ain't gonna cut it. Especially after making you all wait so long.
My point is, if you think you can do a better job of it, do a better job of it. Last check the LAT need help. Ask them for the hit methodology (which function to send and recieve), get a quest nobody else has touched, fix it and send it in. If you can do it without putting a personal touch on it (retiling EVERYTHING, etc) I authorize you to complain...everyone else, remember fondly that which can never be again.
