You're forgetting that Zone is only 2D. Dodging homing missles would be just flying around in circles until the missles go away.

I agree though. We need an air only vehicle. 2 people should run it, one bombs the other fires straight. If it runs into a jetpack, damage is done to the person using the jetpack but none at all to the plane.

This brings up an idea of anti-air-guns. A simple gun that fires verticle only.
