Well, it's useful for changing the shape of an NPC.
Noww... aside from simply changing the shape of an NPC, this would be extremely useful for my damage system if:

was implemented, in which the coords/shape of an NPC would need to be declared immute somehow.
Another possibility would be setting the NPC's shape to another image, rather than the NPC's own image determining its default shape.
