Actually, although I personally used restoration more than any other spell I am more than pleased with the fact that the food was removed from the spell. There is create food, and dozens of other kinds of food that was previously untapped. I find myself actually using a cooker, and Misty Mug Tavern is booming with business. Not to mention.
Restoration still is extremely powerful even without food restoration. Cure poison, Cure Disease, Cure status, Cure confusion, Cure blindness, Full health, and not to mention at the cost of eighty grace, which can be used at any level as long as you have level 13 in wisdom. I think that is already powerful enough.
I won't lie, at first I was very displeased but then, after seeing the server blow up and seeing literally over a hundred players on at a time all in one area was very impressive. I was even more happy to see that people were making food an killing smaller, commonly ignored monsters.
It was even more amazing to actually see areas not littered with food and junk all over the ground because every food item had just increased in value. One little nerf and the whole community has improved. I think it was a great decision. Restoration still gives you 1,000 exp when you cure a disease so I can't say that I'm upset about the change. |
