Well, as far as glitches go, it's an odd one, but not utterly serious. Not like there's much to be gained by getting to the beach faster. It's probably just a glitch in the gmap or something, like the ones where the terrain randomly turns into blackness and sand, and I end up somewhere different from where I was heading.
