Buildings don't improve kingdoms. Items REALLY don't improve kingdoms: people tend to join only for the items and then split. New graphics don't improve kingdoms. People, Roleplaying, and Activity improve kingdoms. With that being said, so long as you recognize that your roleplaying will be seen as the measuring tool for the kingdom, and your willingness to learn and ability to improve will greatly affect the activity, you seem to be on your way to being a good leader.
