The ranks are there for a reason, if you don't want to follow that ranking system then make a new one, that's fine... but don't go ignoring the current ranks and just put people anywhere.

Look at one of your most active members now, Valanduil. He definately had RPing skills but some were raw and I helped refine his skills when he was my Apprentice in the Elven Magi.
