The driver of the helicopter is screwed if the copter gets hit because he is not able to hope down the ropes and must be on the seat at all times until the copter has landed, then he can hop out.

Poor old driver. Watching the helicopter fall to it's death with a little driver in the seat screaming but immobile is sure to bring hours of laughter.
