I noticed if someone you have if your buddy list logs on graal, it will show them on your player local player list as global, both on player and on the server, and boost the servers players player count... I found this to be a little odd seeing as the server is hidden and now on the global list.. and even if you are using global playerlist it shouldn't raise the playercount.
