This is the first of several idea threads that shall be made. I started playing Graal Kingdoms in 2003. And I have always thought it had much potential. As the years went by, I saw it become less and less of a challenge. Less and less fun. And then I saw less and less players. So, to fight the growing boredom of kingdoms, I have decided to finally take some sort of action.

Keep in mind this is not intended to really benefit any one person or a group of people. But to benefit Graal Kingdoms by bringing back players and fun! So let me begin.


Kingdoms will be restored when these things happen (basically in this order).

1a. Removal of Peaceful Mode (Pmode). Peaceful mode takes away the realism in this game. Before we work on pets, monsters, kingdoms, items. Let us work on the basic realistic feel this game has.

1b. Removal of dropping items upon death. This is not something to improve the realism, but to allow everyone to have fun. If there is nothing negative to dying, people might fight more, or people might duel more.

1c. Bring back the exp loss on death. This stopped level 50s from coming around. Now everyone is high level.

2. To make a game is to also make a perfect balance. Evil should not overpower good but for a moment, as should good not overpower evil. There should always be a constant struggle. Kingdoms SHOULD war. Kingdoms MUST war, there must be fighting and there must be problems. Otherwise it would be dull.


These are my first suggestions for Kingdoms. If people agree with them, I might post the remaining steps to make 2k2 a fun game. Please post comments and suggestions to the ideas that I have suggested only. As I have many more and I will cover a broad range of things.

Fixing these problems would bring back most of the old players that left. JUST THESE. Imagine what this game could be if it were fully tapped into. Graal Kingdoms could be the best 2d fantasy midevil mmorpg ever then.
