If you claim to have support, and not back it up with proof, then nobody will actually believe that you have support.
I could claim to own the land deed to the Empire State Building, but without producing proof, I simply look like a crackpot.
Also, there is more land to the kingdom than simply where houses are built on. Assuming that you are allowed a small plot of land surrounding your house, you do not own 1/3 of the real estate, you own about .5%
