I think it's a rather good idea. Some sort of an even plane would be nice. Even on games like WoW, the level 60s have to smack the level 20s a few times before they kill them. It's kind of disturbing when you compare that to GK, where you can be smacked by a sword prepped to ungodly stats and die instantaneously. I've seen screens from a long time ago in the callery where everyone was dueling each other with crappy shop-made axes. That crap looked fun.
