Their would be tons of accts being hacked. What if you are banned from a server? Maybe it shouldn't show the playerlist for it then.

You can only mass message to those who are on the same server as you, and still, if you were to go for private messages all it's saving you is the few seconds you'd hvae spent switching from one server to another.
One problem however is bans, as currently you can still PM even if you're banned on that server.
