Firstly, that's terrible logic. Your staff position means nothing, and the same goes for the testament of your friends.
Secondly, it's a very bad attitude to have. If you can't accept and examine your imperfections, you can't do anything to make them go away. Convincing yourself that you're better than you are is the best way to ensure that you never will be.
