Are you sure you're uploading the gani's to the proper folder, and that the folder you are uploading them to is configured in the folder configuration? If not, then that may be your problem. All I can think of is that the gani's are probably not downloading automatically for everyone, which is why you can't see them, unless you can't see the custom gani's?
