Strangely enough, there happens to be a weak wireless signal where I'm staying. My mom's laptop (what I'm on) can connect, but I'm trying to get my linux box to tap into it, or perhaps even this
encrypted one depending if, er, the guy who owns it decides to tell me his password?
Otherwise it's $50 for install and $35 a month for a cable modem, and if I'm only here a couple of months, I don't want to have to shell out the cash. Perhaps I'll see if I can build a better antenna (pringles cans are fascinating) that will connect with a higher signal.
