Since the Mods do have leeway in how they dispense their judgment on a post or thread a rule is not necessary( In my opinion). Why? Well let’s look at it this way to coin a phrase that the infamous Kai likes to use or did use often at one time "Think before you post". Off topic comments are not necessarily a bad thing unless it tends to derail and start flaming remarks. So maybe before you post ask yourself " Is it necessary? Does it contribute anything worth reading by the community? Is it constructive or is it nothing more than a clever Flaming remark? Just use common sense when you post so more and more rules are not necessary. If you can't use common sense when you post then don't be surprised when they disappear or leads to your banning from these forums because of your conduct. So change the much-used phase to this
