If this were the case, no thread could be closed because anyone could "conceivably" want to post there. A thread should be closed once it has done what it was made for. The only thing close to proof I can give is that no more good can come out of this, unless someone tries starting an entirely new topic piggybacking this one, which is basically pointless.
